Quit Smoking Effects: How It Feels To Quit Smoking



You’ve made it through the worst, and have managed to quit smoking once and for all, and what you have now is a whole new life with little quit smoking effects.
It is almost as if you have been given a second chance. This life of yours is like a new gift. You know better than any one else what you have been through and how difficult it was to get through that horrid tunnel. But yet you survived like many others. You shudder at the very thought of going back there.

As you walk on, you can see the other end of the tunnel as well and standing in front of it is an endless line of people. They all seem to be waiting to enter the tunnel and they all have lighted cigarettes in their hands. Just beside this long line there is another small line of people who are walking away from the tunnel.

They are obviously the people who failed to make it through the tunnel. They slink away with their heads hanging low. If you care to take an even closer look at them, you can plainly see that their eyes are listless, their faces are glum, their teeth are stained with nicotine and as they breathe they let off a wheezing sound. Every now and then they let out a rattling, rasping cough that seems to emerge from the very core of their bodies.

These are the ones who failed to quit smoking. You feel sorry for them but there is very little, perhaps nothing, that you can do for them. They too know that their days are numbered and they smile glumly at you flashing once again their nicotine-stained teeth.

You realize with a shiver how close to death you were and you thank your lucky stars and the strength that you showed by having the will power to get over that horrible, ugly addiction.

You are now free. Free to start your life all again. And this time there will be no relapses, no mistakes. Life is too precious a gift to waste it at the end of a cigarette.

Do not underestimate your self. You are perfectly capable of having a good time, or maybe I should say a wonderful time without the help of any external stimulant. You can still work as hard as you want and you still can make it through stressful situations. You know, and fully believe, that your body can take it.

You understand now that you do have a choice whether or not to smoke, so you choose wisely and live your life to its healthy fullest. Once you get over the habit you will realize how different conditions are than when you used to smoke. You now know and realize the elation of how it feels to no longer be a slave to tobacco.

When you quit smoking, the effects you feel will have a lasting impression on whether you start up again. Remember the wonderful feeling you have now and you'll be well on your way to being smoke free for the rest of your life.
